My next low fire date will be at the end of the day on Saturday 11/2/19. Come in today or next week to start a new piece or to get things finished up you have already started. Anything done by then will be ready for pick up on 11/6/19.
I will be doing a low fire firing at the end of the day tomorrow on Saturday 10/12. If you have any unfinished pieces come in tonight or tomorrow to finish and get them back finished on Wednesday 10/16. If you want to start a (Paint Your Own Pottery) piece today or tomorrow you can get it back in less than a week.
We have over 600 Paint You Own Pottery pieces. Combine pieces and come up with a total of $75 and receive a free lesson on a pottery wheel. Lessons must be scheduled. We have 6 pottery wheels for lessons. If you get 1 free lesson you can pay for a 2nd to have someone come with you. The Paint Your Own Pottery pieces do not have to be painted all at the same time. Check out the other web pages to see everything we offer with photos.
We are a family owned and operated business. This week is set aside for family time. Thank you for your understanding.
It’s Raku firing day. These are all the pieces you can choose from. Over 30 to choose from and then pick one or more of our 35 different colored glazes and paint the piece you purchase. Then watch it fired and take it with you the same day.
We just added about 200 new bisque pieces bringing out total to choose from to approximately 600.
In the next three to four weeks we will be doing a Raku firing. This is a ancient Japanese firing technique from the 16th century. Since I am a full service clay studio we will be doing demonstrations like this for people to watch and learn about different ways to make ceramics. You will be able to experience this event in three different ways.1) No cost just stop by and watch. 2) Come out ahead of time and make something on a pottery wheel or hand build a piece. Then participate in the firing with your own piece. 3) Purchase a piece that is pre made by myself and then glaze it in the colors that you want and participate in the firing. The pieces I make will range from $20-50 and that price includes glazing and firing. If you are not available for the day of the firing you can still make a piece and it can be fired that day for you. The pictures are of some pieces that are already available for purchase. Remember they are all one of a kind pieces and they do have my artist mark on them. One picture is of some finished I made for an example. They are not for sale. The links will give you a better idea of what Raku is. Horse hair firing is some thing else that will be done that day.
We had a big firing this weekend. Had to fire the kiln twice. Check out some of our customers pieces on the website.
